The Technical Committee is pleased to invite professionals and researchers from industry, academia and technological centers to submit abstracts of papers in the following topics of interest: environmental regulations, R&D and new processes, technologies and industrial practices.

THE TECHNICAL COMMITTE FOR THE M2R2 WORKSHOP (RECOVERY OF METALS FROM MINING WASTE) COMPLETES SELECTION OF PAPERS FOR CONGRESS

Headed by its president Ivan Valenzuela, general manager of Ecometales-, the Technical Committee of the M2 R2 workshop (an acronym of Recovery of Metals from Mining Waste) selected twelve papers and left two others for observations, completing the selection process to participate in the 12-13 April, 2012, two-day workshop.

The selected papers from Australia, Canada, Chile, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and USA will be presented at the workshop which is part of the XII Expomin 2012 Mining Exhibition & Congress taking place in Santiago, Chile, April 9-13, 2012.

The workshop includes an opening session with a plenary conference by the Chilean Minister of the Environment followed by a panel of experts from the mining industry, consulting companies and communities.
